Couesnon Flugelhorn Trumpet Herald. i'm hoping that someone reading this thread can tell me some info regarding the two markings i find on a 1925 bb couesnon. the couesnon tapered leadpipe makes it extremely sensitive to mouthpiece characteristics when it comes to playing in. i have an old couesnon fuglehorn that i purchased used in 1975 or 1976. couesnon is one of the great names in brass instruments, in business over 170 years. however, it looks just like a 70's couesnon and i've been told these were american stencil horns made by couesnon,. i've been eyeballing a 1920s couesnon & cie monople flugelhorn, has anyone had any experience with these older. they make three flugelhorn models, 137 tradition, which is the small one, 142 monopole, and 144 which is the 4 valve version. i recently received a flugelhorn as a gift, however i don't know much about it and i was wondering if anyone had any. I don't believe everything is original having seen. It grew to include eight factories employing, at one time, over 1800 people in france.
